Squeezing it in

So, on Tuesday I posted to the DDPY group on FB. I poured out how I’m struggling with getting DDPY in given my more than insane schedule. I posted it on the train and by the time I got off the train I’d been inspired to squeeze exercise in where/when I can. So...I walked from the train. Today is my 3rd day. Gotta say, my quads are killing me but I’m back at it!  If this is all I can for now, so be it. I’m going to try doing DDPY on the weekends. I’m working through web dev tutorials trying to up my skills. Maybe a side job could help. I’ve even considered lifeguarding again!!!  I so want to get out of our house but we’ll have very little to put on a new one. I feel that black cloud circling over my head and I’m trying desperately to avoid it!!

I can't say enough good things about the DDPY Group on Facebook!!  I typed up my current situation this morning and had a bunch of responses BEFORE I got off the train.  The little nudge I got from my fellow DDPY'ers inspired me to walk from the train to work instead of taking the bus again.  I was hot a sweaty when I got to work but man, did it feel good.  I need to remember that it's a marathon and not a sprint AND that I can't successfully take care of anyone else if I don't take care of myself first.  Onward and upward!

Week 2

This week was an absolute wash.  I got one workout in.  I'm trying to figure out how to not be so exhausted every night and be able to get my workouts in!!!  I could try to change my hours at work but then the evenings would be NUTS and on some days, it wouldn't even work due to scheduling.  I'm frustrated, aggravated, and sad.  I'll figure it out, hopefully!  On to a new week.

Week 1

Well, I finished the first week!  I may not have done the workouts as scheduled but I only missed one and that was on a double day. I think I’ve re-awakened muscles that I forgot I had!!  So far, I’m feeling good about this. Finding time is a challenge but I have to want this and do this for me. I want to be around to see my boys grow up!!!  On to Week 2!!!
